Primary Responsibilities
- Delivery & Transportation: Safely operate company vehicles to transport industrial paints and coatings, plan efficient routes, verify orders, and obtain proof of delivery.
- Warehouse Operations: Load, unload, and store products following FIFO inventory procedures, assist with inventory counts, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Safety & Compliance: Handle, store, and transport hazardous materials in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and company policies while inspecting and maintaining the delivery vehicle.
- Customer Service & Communication: Provide professional customer interactions, relay delivery updates or concerns, and offer basic product handling instructions if needed.
- Incident Response & Reporting: Address spills, leaks, or damaged shipments appropriately and report discrepancies, safety issues, or mechanical concerns to management.
Qualifications
The ideal Delivery Driver/Warehouse Associate will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and experience in warehouse operations and delivery driving. While a CDL is not required, it is preferred. This physically demanding role requires the ability to lift 45 lbs., stand, walk, climb stairs, and safely handle hazardous materials. Candidates should have forklift certification (or be willing to obtain one), strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Professional communication, problem-solving skills, and good judgment are essential when interacting with customers and coworkers. A strong sense of ownership and pride in your work is key to success in this role.
