The Warehouse Associate will manage inventory through cycle counting, process invoices, handle hazardous spills safely using PPE, and ensure proper lifting techniques to promote workplace safety. Key duties include receiving shipments, stocking shelves, and fulfilling customer orders with accuracy and efficiency. Primary Responsibilities
- Receive freight, stock shelves, and fulfill customer orders for timely delivery.
- Perform inventory cycle counting and maintain warehouse organization.
- Write and process invoices to fulfill customer orders.
- Ensure a clean warehouse and handle hazardous materials using proper PPE.
- Promote safety awareness, accident prevention, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have a High School diploma or GED and demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. They must maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment, and take ownership of their work. The role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and frequent use of hands for keyboarding. Mental focus, attention to detail, and discretion are essential for tasks such as processing orders. Experience in a jobber automotive paint store is a plus. The work environment involves exposure to hazardous materials and fumes for up to 35% of the day, with frequent computer and paperwork tasks. A professional appearance and business-like demeanor are expected.
