Summary
Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking for an Accounting Manager to join our Asset and Infrastructure Inspection (A&II) Division.
The A&II Division Accounting Manager’s goal is to fulfill revenue and collections objectives and adhere to accounting and reporting policies. This includes reviewing and analyzing finances, ensuring compliance with regulations and refining reporting documentation. This is all performed while verifying the integrity and accuracy of financial operations (Order to Cash and Purchase to Pay processes), safeguarding organizational assets and developing efficient business processes to record revenue and improve collections. The A&II Division Accounting Manager is also responsible for the month end close of the division.
This position reports to the Controller in Atlanta; and will be based out of the Peoria office in Arizona.
Primary Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General Accounting
- Manage the general accounting function and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
- Manage the overall month end close and ensure that all reconciliations, supporting schedules and analysis are completed on a timely basis and in accordance with the monthly closing schedule
- Oversee the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements
Team Management
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the team
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct performance evaluations
- Oversee the daily operations of the team and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of work
Compliance and Auditing
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Coordinate the external audit
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Oversee the Accounts Payable and Receivable functions
- Ensure timely processing of purchase orders, vendor bills, customer invoices, payments, and collections
Payroll and Tax
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
- Leverage Accounting Software to streamline processes
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at lease 3-5 years in a managerial role
- Experience with accounting operations, month end close, audit and compliance
Skills
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in NetSuite and ability to pick up new systems easily (Concur and Bill.com)
- Efficiency with MS Office suite (Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with ADP Payroll preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet all assigned deadlines in a timely manner with a “get things done now” mentality
