Industrial Inspection & Analysis is looking to hire a motivated individual to fill our Inside Sales position specifically targeting prospects for Fire Equipment Services. IIA Fire Equipment Services has over 45 years of experience performing inspections and non-destructive testing services. We provide fire hose, fire pump and nozzle/appliance testing services to fire stations as well as aerial and lift device inspections and certifications to a variety of companies, public and private utilities, and municipalities across the US and Canada.
Inside Sales Position Summary
The Inside Salesperson will focus on new customer acquisition and reactivating dormant customers. This position involves cold calling potential clients, client business referrals, and/or researching web leads. The Inside Salesperson will be responsible for offering and explaining to current and prospective customers/clients all the services offered and providing additional presentations as needed. Potential candidates must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.
Inside Sales Duties and Responsibilities
- Cold calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients.
- Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective clients; working with Fire Equipment Services leaders and sales and marketing leaders to prioritize outbound efforts.
- Qualifying leads from digital campaigns, conferences, references, tradeshows, etc.
- Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
- Willingness to spend time in the field with our technicians to gain a better understanding of our business and the services we offer.
- Answering client questions and follow-up calls; potentially bringing in other IIA leadership and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to follow-up calls.
- Presenting and delivering information to potential clients; virtual meetings/presentations.
- Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources.
- Building pipelines with channel partners and team members to close sales.
- Working with sales team and clients to close sales and offer support throughout the entire process.
- Cross-selling other services to existing customers through customer networking to find prospects who would benefit from our broader offering.
Inside Sales Requirements and Qualifications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers.
- Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
- Self-motivated and self-directed, but flexible to adapt to changing strategies.
- Persuasive and goal oriented.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
- In-depth understanding of company services and company position in the industry.
- Tenacity to handle rejection and continue with a positive attitude when reaching next potential client.
- Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close.
- Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories.
- Previous experience in outbound call center, inside sales experience, industry experience or related sales experience preferred.
- High school degree or equivalent.
