The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating a range of different machines, performing simple to complex machining operations using manually operated equipment.

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating a range of different machines, performing simple to complex machining operations using manually operated equipment.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Program, Setup, and Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal samples
- Plan the most efficient and effective methodology for completing each project in a wide variety of materials.
- Continually improve machining methodology and consistency in the samples produced.
- Lead by example with respect to quality and safety standards and maintains supplies and equipment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Minimum of 1 year of CNC machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate standard and specialized equipment
- Ability to understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to understand and maintain project schedules
- Valid state driver’s license
- Knowledge and compliance of workplace health and safety standards
- 2 years of machining experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Technical certifications or technical degree in related field
- Experience working with Haas VF2 mills, CNC Lathes, and Manual lathes and milling machines.
- Day shift hours are from 8pm to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
- Evening shift hours are typically from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday
- Regularly exposed to high-speed machinery and mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to humid conditions, climate/weather variations
- Occasionally exposed to acetone, solvents, grease, cutting fluids, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic and/or caustic chemicals
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, regularly walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, occasionally lift and/or push up to 60 lbs.
