What are the responsibilities and job description for the Raw Production Worker position at Industrial Manufacturing?
Summary/Objective
The Raw Production Worker will operate forklifts, handle materials, assist with roaster and other machine operation, document process data, perform sanitation duties, and maintain their work areas within the raw and roasting areas while ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- · Complies with all GMP, food safety, and safety standards.
- · Maintain integrity of raw and RTE segregation.
- · Safely loads and unloads trucks, receives, moves, and stages materials using forklifts and other means.
- · Uses NetSuite and other systems to document and maintain inventory levels, rotate stock, and maintain traceability
- · Performs cleaning, PMs, and maintains proper function of forklifts and other equipment
- · Handles oil tanker filling and related activities
- · Handles raw area waste as necessary
- · Assists production operators in their duties including operation, housekeeping, and sanitation
- · Administers necessary training to team members.
Requirements
- · High School Diploma or equivalent.
- · Must be punctual and reliable, have a positive attitude, and possess the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- · Ability to read and follow work instructions, do basic math, troubleshoot, and use problem solving skills.
- · Should possess a basic knowledge of tools and have good mechanical aptitude.
- · Experience in food manufacturing and GMP environments.
- · Experience in peanut or tree nut processing or a related field.
- · Flexibility in overtime and shifts.
Physical Requirements
- · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- · Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces.
- · Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
- · Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net, and gloves when required.
- · Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment.
- · Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, and/or wet environmental working conditions.
- · Willing to work around industrial machinery.
- · Ability to work with peanut allergens present in a food environment.
We currently have two openings. One on our 3pm - 12am shift and one on our 11pm - 8am shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
