This has created a fantastic career growth opportunity for an Information technology Manager who will be a key contributor in supporting our branches and operations as we scale. The IT Manager will oversee the information technology strategy, infrastructure, and systems to support our manufacturing operations. This role will be crucial in ensuring the seamless integration of technology within our production processes and enhancing overall productivity. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with the company's goals, focusing on automation, data management, and technology upgrades.
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and optimization of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance. Implement scalability techniques for scaling up and scaling down while ensuring security procedures are adhered to.
- System Administration: Manage and support enterprise software systems (e.g., ERP, MES) and ensure they meet manufacturing and operational needs.
- Cybersecurity Management: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect sensitive data and industrial control systems from cyber threats.
- Technical Support: Lead the IT support team to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for end-users in the manufacturing environment.
- Vendor Management: Select and manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and products.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, providing cost-effective solutions and recommendations for technology investments.
- Training and Development: Recruit, train, and mentor IT staff, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Cloud System Administration: Manage and optimize on-premises and cloud resources; construct and maintain scripts (mainly PowerShell) to facilitate user account provisioning and ensure scripts adhere to industry standards; create and update scripts for deploying and removing AWS, Azure cloud environments and resources; Identify, recommend, coordinate, and implement cost optimization possibilities for cloud resources and other managed SaaS systems that have been approved.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to ensure IT initiatives align with manufacturing goals and enhance operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (5 years) in IT management, preferably within a manufacturing or DC/Fulfillment environment.
- Experience in a start-up environment, creating processes from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and other relevant software solutions.
- Experience with IT infrastructure management, including networking, server administration, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Capability to provide after-hours support to identify and resolve issues relating to accessing corporate IT-managed resources.
- Capability to design and implement dependable and scalable solutions to meet desired functionality, as well as to establish and manage all continuity requirements to support disaster recovery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management experience is a plus, with knowledge of methodologies like Agile or Lean.
