3 Reasons Consulting, LLC (3RC) is seeking a qualified System Administrator – Linux (VOIP) to support the JBSA GSP by configuring, maintaining, and updating the Avaya Application Server running on Red Hat Linux OS. The role will involve managing VOIP Operations Administration and ensuring the seamless operation of IX Messaging, ACD, and custom Call Center applications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform technical duties related to VOIP, IX Messaging, ACD, and custom Call Center applications, including handling adds, moves, and changes related to endpoints.
- Provide expertise in Red Hat Linux OS administration and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and analyze daily performance alarms, errors, and outage trends to ensure system integrity and uptime.
- Oversee product delivery and host acceptance duties, verifying hand receipts and ownership responsibilities.
- Ensure all system diagrams, sustainment plans, and operational documentation are available and updated for support staff.
- Track and document system architecture, performance metrics, and significant operational insights.
- Manage and submit all Circuit Management requests for JBSA-FSH, including coordination with DISA, Toll-Free Number, and DSN services.
- Define and create Avaya system permissions and skill-level access to maintain security and user management.
- Update and document VOIP system structure, VLAN configurations, and File Server settings, submitting VLAN requests via ITSM system tickets.
- Maintain and document Avaya Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM).
- Ensure credentials and access controls for hosted environments remain secure and compliant.
- Participate in project, leadership, and telecommunications-related meetings, providing expert guidance and support.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Certifications: Security Certification, Red Hat certifications are a plus
- Proven experience managing VOIP, IX Messaging, ACD, and Call Center applications.
- Hands-on expertise in network configurations, VLAN management, and system documentation.
- Familiarity with DISA circuit management and telecommunications protocols.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, network security, and VOIP operations.
- Experience with ITSM system ticketing, system monitoring tools, and performance analysis.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and leadership.
- Maintain compliance with security policies, operational protocols, and industry best practices.
- Support troubleshooting efforts and conduct proactive system maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members as needed.
