Responsibilities
- Implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training sessions on safety practices, first aid, CPR, and occupational health standards.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safety training sessions and incident reports.
- Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Stay updated on industry regulations related to workers compensation and environmental protection agency (EPA) standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Management and/or proven experience in a similar role in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation laws.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional safety certifications are a plus.
- Experience in training development related to occupational health and safety practices.
- Excellent analytical skills for root cause analysis of incidents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with EPA regulations is beneficial but not mandatory.
