What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secondary Operations Worker position at Industrial Packaging Corporation?
Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control checks on incoming and outgoing shipments
- Operate cherry pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and other materials handling equipment
- Utilize warehouse management system to track inventory and process orders
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with Team members to ensure smooth operations in the distribution center
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center preferred
- Proficiency in operating cherry pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks and other materials handling equipment
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and warehouse management systems
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order picking and packing
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a Team
- Ability to feed, catch, band and stack honeycomb pieces as well as some gluing and assembly work
- Ability to read a tape measure correctly
- Ability to utilize a box knife safely
*The work schedule is Monday-Thursday 5AM-3:30PM, Friday Overtime as needed.
