JOB TITLE: Emergency Response Coordinator – Plaquemines LNG

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Emergency Response Coordinator will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Industrial Rescue Instruction Systems Inc. and the Venture Global (VG) LNG Manager of Emergency Response. VG LNG Manager of Emergency Response will serve as the immediate contact person in the field for all Emergency Response Coordinator activities within the facility.
Based out of the Plaquemines LNG (PLNG) facility in Port Sulphur, LA, this role provides primary support to the PLNG facility, and GTX pipeline. Support and travel to Calcasieu Pass LNG and future projects may be required.
As our client company, Venture Global LNG will involve close collaboration with the Emergency Response Coordinator. Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital costs.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supports Emergency Response teams who respond to fire, medical, and chemical emergencies.
· Supports the management and coordination of all facility emergency planning activities.
· Supports the selection and ordering of emergency response equipment.
· Supports and/or leads the development of emergency and tactical response plans.
· Supports the VG Regulatory team for onsite agency audits.
· Supports the development, facilitation, and tracking of site emergency preparedness training and exercises.
· Ensure that site-specific policies and procedures are current and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
· Engage with oil spill response organizations to ensure capabilities and competency.
· Must be willing and able to serve in a qualified position within the Emergency Operations Center for response activations, drills, and exercises during and outside of normal work hours.
· Assures operational capability by inventorying, inspecting, and testing response equipment, supplies, vehicles, and facility systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
· Knowledge of emergency management practices, including preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation strategies.
· Strong verbal and written communications skills with an emphasis on consistency and attention to detail.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner at all levels, including in a team atmosphere.
· Demonstrated ability in project management and prioritization of tasks.
· Demonstrated experience in emergency management, including developing and delivering site-specific training
· Demonstrated experience in drill and exercise design, planning, conduct, and evaluation consistent with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) concepts and principles in alignment with the National Preparedness Response and Exercise Program (NPREP)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· A bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public health, or a related field OR a comparable mix of education and experience that gives the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job duties.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency management, disaster response, or a related field.
· Relevant certifications such as Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), Safety Professional, or equivalent are preferred.
· Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· 4 - 10 Hour Days
· Based upon approval from Venture Global (VG) LNG Manager of Emergency Response.
· Office setting with occasional fieldwork. May require extended working hours, including evenings and weekends, during extraordinary events.
· Ability to perform tasks that may require physical exertion, such as lifting and carrying supplies.
· Travel is not foreseen at this time but may be requested and must be approved by the Venture Global (VG) Manager of Emergency Response.
