We are seeking a Forklift Operator and Truck Driver to join our Shipping Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, powered industrial vehicles, and transit vehicles, within the building and between buildings. This includes moving and loading various manufactured products and materials around various locations. The operator will work closely with the Shipping and Receiving Department, as well as the wider manufacturing shop floor, to ensure timely, accurate and safe delivery and transportation of products and materials.

Key Responsibilities :

• Safely operate forklifts, powered industrial vehicles and transit vehicles, and other handling equipment to transport materials and products throughout the facility.
• Pack, wrap, load and unload trucks, pallets, and other storage areas using forklifts, ensuring proper handling and placement of goods.
• Drive a box truck between buildings, ensuring goods and materials are safely transported.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts, trucks and equipment, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with shipping and receiving when necessary, including inventory management, labelling and organizing materials.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols at all times to prevent accidents, injuries and damage.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
