In-Shop Sanitary Tube and Pipe Welder

The Pipe Welder is responsible for welding pipe and tube systems mainly for the Food & Beverage and Pharmaceutical industries in our shop in Emigsville Pa. This position requires someone with extensive sanitary process piping experience. A successful candidate must have the ability travel for extended periods of time, work weekends, and overtime as necessary.

Applicants should live in the York/Harrisburg/Allentown/Lancaster area and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Pipe Welding, minimum 5 years
• Have some mechanical skills and know how to read blueprints
• Provide your own hand tools (the tools of the trade)
• Fabricate tanks and structural supports, and weld high pressure lines and pressure vessels
• Perform installations or replacements of piping systems, and related equipment
• Rigging experience is a plus
• Provide your own hand tools (the tools of the trade)
• Pass a 6g weld test
• Have a current valid driver’s license, with a safe driving record
• Pass a drug screen and background check

Success Criteria & Measurement

• Performs all work in a timely manner as designated by the Pipe Supervisor/Project Manager
• Accurately completes projects, paperwork, and timesheets, submitting items as required
• Safely uses all equipment, such as welding guns, tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Effectively communicates with the Pipe Supervisor/Project Manager, Customers, and other team members verbally, through text, or email
• Works with limited supervision and in a clean and organized manner
• Maintains professional conduct at all times, particularly when at customer sites
