Department Manager
A growing company is looking for a Department Manager to join our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, set timelines, and ensure adherence to quality standards, budgets, and schedules.
- Leadership: Supervise field personnel and ensure safe, productive, and efficient operations. Regularly meet with Crew Leaders to coordinate activities and manpower.
- Client Management: Identify opportunities for additional services and advise the Area Manager on potential new business opportunities.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, review estimates, approve bids, and ensure proper billing.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce safety, OSHA, and MSHA regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Reporting & Administration: Maintain accurate records, including work-in-progress reports, safety forms, timecards, and other necessary documents.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and address challenges that may affect project timelines, budgets, or client satisfaction. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Education:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Technical degree or relevant experience.
Licensing/Certification:
- Required: Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.
- Preferred: OSHA/MSHA Certification.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry, with field and project management experience.
- Preferred: 10 years of experience in a similar role.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to manage personnel effectively, including communication and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Ability to work both in office and field environments.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Salary 95,000 DOE
Must be willing and able to pass an initial and periodic drug screens and a background check upon hire.
