What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Technician position at Industrial Supply & Service, LLC?
Perform field service, troubleshooting, installation and preventative maintenance on air compressors and compressed air equipment. Factory service school and on the job training provided. Phone hotline ensures easy access to expert assistance. Position reports to Service Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment failures both in-house and on customer locations.
- Install compressed air pipework systems.
- Ability to properly use voltmeters, ampmeters, shock pulse tools and infared meters.
- Read and comprehend electrical drawings
- Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning and settings controls on air compressors.
- Assist in compressed air package fabrication.
- Set up rigging equipment to safely remove and install motors, compressors and related equipment.
- Basic understanding of pneumatic principles and components.
- Fill out service reports.
- Download software updates to controllers via laptop.
- Must be able to successfully perform above while meeting our and our customers safety requirements.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Able to lift 75 pounds.
- Willing to work overtime and weekend as needed.
- Able to work from elevated platforms.
- Must pass pre-employment physical/drug/alcohol test.
