Due to continued growth, we currently have an opening for a Warehouse / Delivery Driver position at our Des Moines, IA branch. The primary role would be in the warehouse managing inventory, completing shipping, receiving, and restocking inventory while learning the trade of cutting and fabricating conveyor belt. This position also requires being MSHA certified as it does include making local deliveries as well as supporting and maintaining designated Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) for our customers, some of which are quarries or underground mines. The right candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with fellow employees and partners
- Outgoing with a positive attitude and professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to handle incoming and outgoing freight and supplies
- Knowledge of the aggregate, manufacturing, industrial, or mining industries very helpful
- Extraordinary attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
- Valid Driver License with a clean MVR
- Conveyor Belt splicing/cutting preferred
- Basic Forklift, shipping and receiving experience required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standard computer skills – Microsoft Windows and Office
- Some data entry or order entry preferred, but will train right candidate
- Must pass Drug Test, Physical & Background Check
