What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver - VMI position at Industrial Supply?
Job summary
To make deliveries and perform "vendor-managed inventory" functions including : management of material replenishment of customer inventory, material storage implementation and organization, vending machine troubleshooting and professional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Gathering orders (through barcode scanning, vending, etc)
- Vehicle loading and delivery
- Replenish inventory at customer locations (bin-stocking, vending machine replenishment, etc)
- Maintaining stocking locations (organized, clean, properly labeled)
- Gathering signatures for proof of delivery
- Coordinate with outside sales rep to insure customer needs are being met
- Coordinate with inside sales teams to meet customer needs and insure proper order and inventory procedures are followed
- Proper maintenance and management of VMI delivery vehicle
