Job Summary:
The Federal Contract Proposal and Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all government contract proposals submitted by the company adhere to federal regulations and guidelines. This role involves meticulously reviewing proposal documents for accuracy and compliance, monitoring ongoing contract execution to maintain compliance throughout the contract lifecycle, and acting as a subject matter expert on government contracting rules and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of government contract proposals, to include technical writing, word-processing, graphical design, and other duties as assigned.
- Analyze contract requirements and develop compliance checklists to ensure all aspects are addressed.
- Lead the review, and submission government contract proposals, ensuring adherence to federal regulations and company policies.
- Monitor contract performance during post-award periods of performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and federal regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between the company and government agencies, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay current on federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant guidelines.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on government contracting procedures and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all contract-related documents and correspondence.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to government contracting.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance with federal regulations and contract terms.
- Address and resolve any compliance issues or disputes that arise during the contract lifecycle.
- Lead the contract “close-out” process for all awarded and performed contracts, ensuring adherence to federal regulations, company policies, and acting in the best interests of the company’s reputation and profitability.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Bachelor's Degree Preferred).
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in federal contract proposal development and compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or similar certification is preferred.

- Occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Visual acuity to read and analyze documents.
Work Environment:
- In-Office (non-remote) Work Assignment
- Standard office environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
