We are seeking an experienced Carry Deck Crane Operator for a project in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate must have an NCCCO Crane Certification with a TLL (Telescopic Boom – Swing Cab) endorsement and a strong background in safely operating carry deck cranes in industrial and construction environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a carry deck crane to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance checks on crane equipment
- Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and lift plans
- Work closely with riggers and signal personnel to ensure proper load handling and placement
- Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and industry safety regulations
- Adjust crane controls for precise material placement in tight or confined workspaces
- Maintain accurate lift records and equipment logs
- Troubleshoot and report any mechanical or operational issues
Job Requirements:
- NCCCO Crane Certification with TLL (Telescopic Boom – Swing Cab) endorsement (Required)
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating carry deck cranes in an industrial or construction setting
- Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging principles, and safety procedures
- Ability to read load charts and properly assess lifting capacities
- Commitment to following OSHA and job site safety protocols
- Must have PPE and reliable transportation
- Ability to work full-time and commit to the duration of the project
