Phlebotomist
Location: Columbus, OH
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team in the Columbus, OH area. In this role, you will collect specimens on behalf of our organization for a client facility, primarily serving assisted living and independent living homes, with travel to private residences. Specimens include blood draws, respiratory swabs, UTI urine collections, wound swabs, and women’s health swabs. Job Responsibilities:
- Collect specimens (swabs, urine collections, and blood) for medical testing.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
- Prepare specimens for transport, courier pick up, or deliver to the nearest hub.
- Order supplies when necessary.
- Follow department policies to correctly identify the patients and label specimens.
- Demonstrate professional customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
- Maintain a neat, clean and orderly patient/work area.
Experience/Certifications:
- Previous work experience as a Phlebotomist (required)
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (preferred)
- Experience with specimen collections (required)
Requirements:
- Drug test - zero tolerance (including THC)
- Background check
- Employment eligibility verification
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday (hours may vary depending on collections for the day)
- 30-40 hours/week
- First shift
Additional Information:
- Gas reimbursement will be provided for required work-related travel.
- Travel in Columbus area on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
- In office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
