Position: Electrician On-site Full-time

United Electrical Solutions is searching for apprentice electricians with 2-4 years of experience (preferably commercial) with basic knowledge of electrical systems and efficient in pipe bending, MC, overhead and wall rough skills.


We are also searching for electricians with 5-10 years of experience in commercial ground-up projects. The candidate should have well rounded skills in pipe bending, circuitry, gear room layout, underground, and exposure to plan reviews.


These positions are for ground-up commercial construction as well as industrial electrical and motor controls. The work we complete at UES is fast paced and constantly changing. Our current work is located within a 60-mile radius of our offices in Land O’ Lakes, FL.


Candidates must be self-motivated and can take direction well. The ideal candidate must also have a clean driving record, and a valid state issued driver’s license. The remaining requirements are a clean appearance, must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking), reliable transportation, basic hand tools, work a stead Monday – Friday schedule with 8-hour days. We request a willingness to travel up to 25% as well as the ability to come to our offices as needed. Please see below for the job duties and required skills.

Additional list of job duties and required skills:

·       Accurately install conduit, wire, pre-fab assemblies, panel boards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment per layout by the Supervisor or designated person.

·       Minimize waste of materials

·       Assure quality of the installation by installing correctly the first time

·       Follow diagrams and blueprints to ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring are installed.

·       Measure, cut, thread, ream, assemble, and install conduit, using such tools as hacksaw, band saw, pipe threader and conduit bender(s).

·       Pulling wire; splice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or other means, twisting wires together, and applying terminal connectors and or tape.

·       Connect wiring to light fixtures, power equipment, motors, devices, and other electrical apparatus, using hand tools and power tools.

·       Test continuity of circuits, circuit wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of components using test instruments.

·       Observe functions of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.

·       May repair faulty equipment or systems

·       Monitor safety per United Electrical Solutions & OSHA safety requirements

·       Demonstrate knowledge of all tools and equipment.

·       Demonstrate efficient knowledge of trade.

·       Coordinate installation with other trades.

·       Responsible for getting materials and proper tools together to complete assigned task.

·       Assist Supervisor or designated person to trouble- shoot electrical branch circuits and feeders

Required Skills:

·       Positively identify colors of wire and other items as required.

·       Comprehend reading of blueprints drawings, and schematics same

·       Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, work site directions, and written instructions.

·       Bend conduit by hand with hand benders.

·       Must have the ability to use safely the required power tools.

·       Must be able to safely operate equipment (trenchers, lift trucks, aerial lifts, etc.).

·       Operate and work from mechanical personal lifts (electric or gas powered).

·       Capable of digging trenches, either by use of hand tools or power equipment.

·       Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in our Company Safety Handbook.

·       Operate two handed tools as required.

·       Assist Supervisor or designated person with energized circuits and equipment as outlined in the Company Safety Policy Manual.

·       Effectively supervise electrical helpers to complete tasks assigned by a Supervisor safely and accurately.

Physical Functions:

·       Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction).

·       Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.

·       Able to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

·       Tolerant to prolonged standing and movement on foot.

·       Climb ladders (all types).

·       Complete overhead work for extended periods of time.

·       Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.

·       Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers.
