Your Role:
As a Child Therapist, you will work with children, teens, and their families to address emotional and behavioral challenges using evidence-based practices. We specialize in treating ADHD and anxiety, so experience and comfort with these diagnoses are required. You will create a safe, nonjudgmental space, working not only with the child but also with their caregivers to foster lasting change.
Collaboration is at the heart of our approach, and you will work closely with our team to provide comprehensive care. Additionally, strong organizational skills, timeliness, and the ability to juggle the multiple demands of private practice are essential.
We currently have openings for:
- Attachment/Play Therapist – Requires training in an attachment-based and/or play-based modality. Must be comfortable working collaboratively and consistently with parents.
- OCD & Anxiety Therapist – Training and experience in ERP are highly desired. Must be willing to complete one training within 30 days and a full training within six months.
- Young Child Therapist – Competency in working with ages 3-12, with the majority of the caseload between ages 5-9. Primary focus on behavioral issues, ADHD, and depression.
- ADHD & Behavioral Therapist – Must enjoy working with ADHD and behavior-related issues in children ages 6-12, though caseload may include younger or older clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent, effective, compassionate, and ethical psychotherapy services in person and online.
- Utilize evidence-based treatments based on accurate assessments of client diagnoses and needs.
- Develop collaborative treatment plans with SMART goals.
- Arrive at least 10 minutes before the first scheduled appointment and maintain timely session start and end times.
- Complete all client documentation within two calendar days, including intake notes, session notes, treatment plans, and coding.
- Foster positive relationships with team members, clients, parents, vendors, and referral sources.
- Respond to internal and external communication within 24 hours.
- Maintain accurate calendars and client records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Uphold all licensing requirements and ethical standards, including timely completion of licensing exams if at the associate level.
- Stay current with research and best practices and fulfill continuing education requirements.
- Refer clients to community resources when necessary.
- Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
- Attend mandatory supervision, team meetings, and trainings.
- Conduct counseling services professionally to uphold the reputation of Indy Child Therapist.
- Collaborate respectfully with co-workers and be receptive to feedback.
- Communicate with healthcare and education professionals as needed for comprehensive client care.
- Charge and collect payments per company policies when requested.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in a mental health-related field (e.g., Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling).
- Active, unrestricted Indiana license in good standing (copy required).
- Experience in a clinical setting (e.g., community mental health, residential, outpatient, or school-based therapy).
- Minimum of one year of experience working with children in a clinical setting.

Compensation:
We believe in paying our therapists well! We offer a commission-based model with a steady stream of referrals. Most therapists are full within 60-90 days and remain full throughout their employment. We offer multiple employment options, including 40-hour and 30-hour full-time positions, as well as part-time roles.
You will design your schedule based on your financial goals (we’ll guide you through this process). Our 40-hour full-time licensed therapists typically earn $70,000 annually, while associate-licensed therapists in 40-hour full-time roles typically earn $57,000 annually.
