Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques and a strong understanding of construction processes. This role involves working on both residential and commercial projects, focusing on delivering high-quality finishes while ensuring safety and efficiency on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Perform remodeling tasks as needed, including drywall installation and repair.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for caulking and other finishing tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper use in various painting applications.
- Experience in remodeling projects is a plus, particularly with drywall work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to painting and construction work is essential.
