What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Brand Manager position at Indy Ignite?
The Social Media Brand Manager is part of our vision to pioneer the future of women’s sports in Indianapolis through the authentic and creative development of the Ignite brand. The ideal candidate will be a creative go-getter with a data-first mindset, who isn’t afraid to push boundaries and is passionate about growing the game of volleyball, elevating female athletes and creating a wildly passionate, loyal community for Indy Ignite.
This role will primarily focus on the continued development of the Ignite social media channels. They will work dynamically with the marketing and gameday experience team to ensure that the Ignite brand continues to grow at a rapid pace and to help test new content channels. This person must take a data-first approach to developing Indy Ignite content to ensure that we continue to hit established KPIs, grow the Ignite brand and ultimately increase ticket sales.
As an extension of the Indy Ignite social media channels, the Social Media Brand Manager will help to develop the brands of our players. They will work to create relationships with each player to understand their personal brand goals, how we can best amplify them and work together to reach the goals of the organization as a whole.
The Social Media Brand Manager will first and foremost be a champion of the Indy Ignite brand. Ensuring that all social media channels reflect the vision of the Indy Ignite organization, elevating our fans, athletes, and women’s sports as a whole as we embark on our groundbreaking second season. They will be excited about creatively developing the Indy Ignite brand!
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience developing, managing, and executing social media content calendars.
- 1-3 years experience managing contract creators to develop content that accurately reflects a single brand.
- 1-3 years experience working with social media influencers to successfully hit brand goals.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple project timelines to ensure on time completion of projects.
- Prioritizes organization in order to maintain and develop efficient processes.
- Creative thinker who is constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve.
- Experience adhering to and representing an established brand.
- Experience collaborating with multiple people and teams to execute projects effectively.
- Goal-oriented with the ability to learn quickly and evaluate projects according to KPIs.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead organic social media strategy across all channels including
- Provide weekly metrics and data-based recommendations to management based on mutually determined KPIs
- Develop, manage and execute overall content calendar
- Manage relationship with videographer and other contract creators
- Oversee Pepper social media account, work with closely with the Fan Engagement Coordinator to ensure content is creative, on brand and maintains effective KPIs
- Travel with the team on a regular basis and attend practice once per week for influencer-style player content capture
- Create influencer program to help support in season and off season goals
- Create player brand development program for the season including:
- Developing and executing player brand intakes at the beginning of the season
- Supporting player brand development with social media coverage throughout the season
- Providing suggestions to the sponsorship team for potential player partnerships
- Providing suggestions to community and sponsorship team for player appearances when requested
- Other duties as assigned.
