POSITION PURPOSE
As Manager of Mobility Services, this position is responsible for day-to-day operations of the IndyGo Access (ADA) Services Programs, which include the supervision, coordination, and administration of the ADA services for individuals with disabilities and include multi-modal programs contracted paratransit, dispatch, scheduling and reservations, and voucher transportation programs.
- The salary range is $63,000 - $66,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assume supervision and oversight responsibilities of Mobility Services in the absence of the Director of Mobility Services.
- Oversee contract provider(s) creation of daily driver schedules to ensure coverage for all work assignments.
- Assist in developing, managing, and coordinating outsourcing opportunities for Mobility (ADA) service providers and ensure compliance with Corporation and federal policies.
- Manage, coordinate, and ensure program participants' certification process compliance.
- Maintained and managed the production of all statistical reports and data for internal and external sources.
- Along with the Director of Mobility Services, manages and updates the Corporation's compliance requirements and plan for the Americans with Disabilities Act related to services.
- Oversee contract provider(s) management of the reservations and scheduling of IndyGo Access (ADA) Service participants.
- Oversee contract provider(s) management of communication and dispatch support systems to provide timely and competent responses between service providers and participants.
- Oversee contract provider(s) development, coordination, and management of safety programs to reduce passenger, employee, and vehicle accidents and incidents.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
- Monitors activities of paratransit contractor.
- Addresses and resolves escalated service and contract complaints.
- Act as liaison for the Mobility Advisory Committee (MAC) as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directly supervises one or more employees.
- Applies supervisory responsibilities according to organizational policies, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable laws.
- Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, schedules, assigns, and directs work according to the current collective bargaining agreement; evaluates and manages employee performance; addresses complaints and resolves employee issues.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Transportation, or equivalent level management experience.
- Transit experience in public or human service Paratransit operations preferred.
- A minimum of three (3) years of management experience; a minimum of four (4) of customer service/human relations experience required; work experience in transit and/or paratransit operations is preferred.
- Experience working within a union environment is preferred.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job will be considered.

- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate with groups.
- Ability to interact with constituents in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence.

- Above-average mathematical abilities (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios, and fractions), including the ability to apply principles of algebra and geometry.

- Ability to monitor a budget, track and control expenses and/or revenues, conduct financial analysis, and create financial documents.

- Knowledge and understanding of the reservation process, dispatch system, and scheduling of operators.
