backgrounds, prepares students for success in college and in life with comprehensive academic and co-curricular programs that inspire student exploration, leadership, and Jewish social consciousness. Many of our programs and academies are unique to Weber and can't be found at any other Atlanta-area high schools.
Duties and responsibilities:
The Weber School is seeking an engaging learning specialist for the 2025-2026 school year to provide direct services in the area of executive functioning, written composition, reading comprehension, and literacy for students in grades 9-12. We seek candidates who promote student autonomy, are able to work effectively on a team, have advanced communication skills, and creatively use the latest educational research. The successful candidate will join a student support team consisting of Grade Level Deans, Student Support personnel, and AcademicSupport staff.
The learning specialist is responsible for supporting students with learning differences in acquiring the reading and writing skills necessary to be independent learners in Weber’s college preparatory environment. This position will also assist their caseload of students in acquiring executive functioning and study skills in order to support academic success. In addition to providing small group and one-on-one support, the learning specialist may occasionally teach large group lessons or workshops. The learning specialist will also be responsible for collaborating with classroom teachers to support students and to provide consultation regarding instructional strategies. To facilitate a team approach, the learning specialist will effectively communicate with senior leadership, faculty, and parents on the students’ needs. The learning specialist will guide students in developing strategies for applying effective learning skills and strategies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
