With LAO manufacturing facilities in Canada and Belgium, INEOS Oligomers is one of the large merchant suppliers of Linear Alpha Olefins (LAO).
LAO is used in a variety of industries, with main markets being comonomers for polyethylene, feedstock for production of lubricants, surfactants, lubricant additives, and paper sizing chemicals, and base stock for drilling fluids. PAO is a synthetic lubricant.
As part of its growth strategy, INEOS Oligomers invested $500 million in a new world scale LAO & PAO production facility located in Chocolate Bayou, Alvin, Texas.
INEOS Oligomers is hiring a Human Resources Representative that will report to the Human Resources Manager.

Purpose of the job :
The HR Representative will perform a wide range of HR generalist activities in support of the Oligomers Chocolate Bayou site including resourcing, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and training support. This position will also serve as the backup for the HR Manager when needed.
Internal Factors -
Administer competitive, yet cost-effective, compensation and benefits to the workforce. Provide and maintain policies that ensure logical, motivating and effective employee relations. Ensure open and candid communications with management and employees. Interact with and provide guidance to Administrative Coordinator (Operations and General Services) on HR support requests.
External Factors -
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and compliance reporting. Assist with retaining talent and keeping the requisite skills necessary to remain competitive in our industry. Maintain competitive, cost-effective HR, payroll and benefits systems.

- Acts as an internal consultant providing HR support to managers and employees.
- Acts as first HR point of contact for hourly Operations and Maintenance employees and their supervisors.
- Provides high level, confidential employee relations counseling, investigations, and exit interviewing.
- Serves as HR advisor for OCB site Employee Activities Committee (EAC)
- Administer the Employee Service Award Program for OCB

Skills Required
Level of education & Experience in general
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Management or related field required. PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification preferred. Minimum of 7 years' experience in Chemicals or industrial setting at operations with progressively increasing responsibilities in all aspects of Human Resources.
Technical skills :
Technical skills : The incumbent must have deep expertise in US employment law, salary administration and compensation, benefits plans, resourcing and general employee relations. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential.
Behavioral skills : The incumbent must be comfortable interacting with employees at all levels of the organization. Must possess good verbal and written communications skills and should be comfortable giving presentations. The position requires handling multiple priorities and balancing a heavy demand environment with an even disposition. Must be highly ethical, personable, a team player and adaptable.
Must be able to acquire a TWIC card.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and perform tasks requiring repetitive use of hands. The employee must occasionally walk, stand, and travel by car, airplane or other means.
