In support of the new INEOS Oligomers plant in Chocolate Bayou, Texas, we are seeking an experienced Instrument & Electrical (I&E) Reliability Supervisor to help establish a long-term focus and the site's reliability programs. The successful candidate will have accountability for all aspects of the operation of the Plant, including safety/environment, people management, cost control, quality, production planning, project and process follow-up.
The I&E Reliability Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Safely maximizing unit availability and minimizing fixed costs associated with repairs to instrumentation and electrical equipment.
- Developing and implementing reliability plans for the instrumentation and electrical infrastructure components at the site.
- Identifying and resolving repeat failures, developing repair scopes, and verifying quality assurance of equipment repairs and installations.
Accountabilities:
- Safety Stewardship: Meeting all SHE objectives and complying with governmental laws and policies for a manufacturing site.
- E&I Component and System Technical Subject Matter Expert: Serving as the OCB SIS/SIL Engineering Authority and Subject Matter Expert, providing technical support, performing root cause failure analysis, and recommending corrective action proposals.
- Maintaining Consistency and Integrity of all E&I Components and Systems: Ensuring specifications and standards are followed, evaluating adequacy of plant inspection and testing programs, and taking ownership of all E&I related specifications and standards.
- Inducing Preventive Maintenance, Maintaining and Expanding E&I Knowledge Base, and Driving Continuous Improvement of Organizational Capabilities: Keeping re-conditioning and repair procedures up to date, developing a risk-based inspection program proposal, monitoring critical equipment, and gathering data to identify failure modes.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 10 years of experience as Maintenance or Reliability Engineer responsible for electrical infrastructure and equipment, process instrumentation and controls in chemical plants.
- Prior Supervision experience is a plus.
- Strong engineering skills with a thorough knowledge of process analyzers, instrumentation and controls engineering, including distributed control systems and programmable logic controllers.
