Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Operations Coordinator in the Construction Department at INEOS Pigments, your key responsibilities will include:
• Participating in project development activities and constructability reviews
• Managing contractor leads, labor resources, equipment, and rental cranes based on priorities and material availability
• Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of construction teams to ensure output targets, functional specifications, action item response, customer service expectations, and quality requirements are met
• Developing project action plans and scheduling targets with input from all team members to satisfy the needs of key stakeholders (Ops, Maintenance, Reliability, Engineering)
• Issuing work permits for contracted project services
• Completing field checks of construction activities and construction work to verify the contractors are knowledgeable of mechanical construction techniques
• Ensuring contract services are performed in accordance with INEOS's policies and procedures and that all construction work meets codes by utilizing project P&IDs, mechanical isometrics, and detailed drawings
• Addressing work issues and progress gaps as necessary
• Managing contractors to minimize costs through coordinating activities and communicating with Project Managers, auditing timesheets/overtime, managing scope changes, and performing field quality checks to reduce rework
• Keeping project managers and discipline engineers informed in a timely manner
• Working to make sure communications are passed throughout the organization; keeping leadership abreast of barriers and critical paths; soliciting support as needed
• Working to raise the level of contractor performance by effective training, field auditing, sharing of information, and upholding high expectations
• Assisting in troubleshooting and problem-solving throughout the Complex
• Recommending improvements in equipment, work methods, and/or processes
• All other projects as assigned
This is a salaried exempt position with a day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8-10 years of supervisory or leadership experience in plant maintenance and/or construction and must be able to read blueprints and P&IDs. Knowledge and understanding of contracts, as well as functionality with various computer programs such as SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, are also essential.
