Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering required; preferably in Chemical Engineering
1 years of related chemical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the various unit operations including: chemical reactors, distillation, heat transfer, evaporation, drying, milling, filtration, pumping, fluid flow, material handling, and support services
A background in TiCl4 and TiO2 manufacturing a plus
Understand what Flow Diagrams and Process and Instrument Diagrams are and how they relate to process changes, upgrades, and new installations
Ability to use analytical processes (appraise a situation, develop supporting plans, make decisions, generate innovative ideas, analyze, and troubleshoot operational problems); Six Sigma training a plus
Working knowledge of chemical/industrial equipment function, design, and regulatory requirements and Process Safety Management and ISO systems and procedures
Understand test methods and pilot plant philosophy
Functionality with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees
