Role And Purpose
The Account Manager will be mainly responsible for the sales in East China, to achieve and deliver INEOS Styrolution’ sales target, responsible for new business growth plan in dedicated segment (Household and Electronics).
Closely working with business management team / SCM / Technical / R&D / F&A to meet business targets, such as sales budget, inventory target, new business and no bad debt. At the same time, coordinating CTP (Chinese Transplant business) business issues with existing and new potential customers.

Role And Purpose
The Account Manager will be mainly responsible for the sales in East China, to achieve and deliver INEOS Styrolution’ sales target, responsible for new business growth plan in dedicated segment (Household and Electronics).
Closely working with business management team / SCM / Technical / R&D / F&A to meet business targets, such as sales budget, inventory target, new business and no bad debt. At the same time, coordinating CTP (Chinese Transplant business) business issues with existing and new potential customers.
- Support country sales strategy development and planning for annual sales targets
- Maintain updated market trends and activities and to help define marketability of products and report to supervisor
- Collect customer data/ information/ feedback/ expectation, prepare for presentation/seminars workshops to promote products and services
- Analyze and report monthly sales data to supervisor and propose product/ service planning, revision of strategies, identify business opportunities, pinpoint problem areas and provide solution
- Plan and carry out sales activities to achieve sales targets, deeply understand customer needs and develop long-term customer relationship
- Secure business opportunities by identifying customer needs in terms of application, services requirements.
- Implement defined pricing strategy
- Negotiate price under limited range to deliver sales target
- Provide input to country head on pricing structure according to market price trends, demand analysis, sales terms and conditions, customer profiles to ensure target margins
- Ensure in-time payment of receivables to meet established sales target
- Monitor to avoid bankruptcy risk and credit default of customer
- Establish a database to obtain, update, maintain and evaluate market trends, application of products/ technology and service needs in order to support identifying new business opportunities
- Research, identify and develop existing and potential customer portfolio
- Propose new products and services to catch up customer’s trend
- Visit customers to collect and analyze field information of customer expectations and problem
- Handle customer claim & complaints on commercial and technical related issue
- Coordinate and seek advice from production, logistics, quality control and technical service function
Level of education & Experience in general:
- University degree in polymer or chemical background
- 5 years of sales and marketing experience, preferrable in the Chemical Industry
- Business awareness and commercial performance bias Competencies
- Behavioral skills: English/Chinese, ability to deal with multicultural environment.
- Professional understanding chemical industry and polymer market
- Competence to understand constantly changing complex market environments
- Derive objective oriented conclusions
- Understand cross-functional / cross-regional framework within Styrolution to derive target optimal conclusions and recommendations
- Contracting strategy and negotiation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English and Chinese
- Ability to work in multifunctional teams.
- Ability to adapt to different cultures; sensitivity for personal/cultural differences
- Ability to work with different levels and maintain good relationship with customers
- Self-confident, open minded, strategic as well as pragmatic with a can-do attitude
- Strives for improving results
- Able to recognize conflicts and take necessary actions
