ORGANISATIONAL CONTEXT & JOB PURPOSE
At INEOS Energy we produce and trade oil, gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG). This is supported by our investments in low carbon technologies, which will help sustain our business through the energy transition. Direct examples of these areas are ‘Project Greensand’, our pioneering carbon storage project in the Danish North Sea and our investment in HydrogenOne Capital.
As a key function of the INEOS Energy Trading team, trading operations is accountable for the logistics planning and execution needed in physical trading deals. It is critical to ensure that all safety requirements and the 3C’s obligations are met (Contractual, Compliance and Commercial).
Trading Operators play a pivotal role in ensuring that the front to back-office processes run smoothly and that valuable data and information is collected, entered and validated in a timely manner to allow effective management and oversight of the deal lifecycle.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Adherence to all Safey regulations and SHE principles.
- Nominate, schedule and monitor oil movements on 3rd party pipeline systems; communicating with pipeline operations as needed to facilitate movements.
- Monitor 3rd party systems for maintenance and operational postings; communicate internally as appropriate.
- Nominate (and inspectors if required) and prepare all terminal dock instructions.
- Monitor and resolve volumetric discrepancies; support accounting team with invoicing accuracy.
- Entry of trade data and information into systems of record within appropriate timelines.
- Maintain and report stock and inventory, highlighting opportunities for commercial advantage or potential delays.
- Understand the deal requirements, with a focus on the contracted credit terms and notification timelines;when LoI and LCs may be required communicate with teams in a timely manner
- Develop partnerships and maintain external relationships with terminal and pipeline operators.
- Identify areas for standardisation, simplification or automation within the INEOS Energy Group.
- Identify and disseminate relevant market intelligence within team to optimise and enhance business opportunities.
- Represent INEOS Energy at various events / networks as required.
