Job Summary
The quality control tech understands the customer's needs and coordinates employee efforts and communications between management and the production teams. Responsibilities include: Checking the quality of incoming materials and outgoing products of the company. Troubleshooting and resolving quality issues through process improvements. Maintaining complete and accurate records and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification. This job involves tasks such as running tests, keeping a record of defects, analyzing products, and overseeing procedures
Duties and Responsibilities
- Understanding of the client's needs, requirements, and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.
- Inspecting raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
- Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
- Ability to use hand tools such as calipers, grinders, power tools, and other like items.
- Willingness to assist other departments to develop solutions and metrics.
- Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from our quality standards.
- Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
- Keeping accurate documentation
- Maintain accurate records and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 certification.
- Devising ways to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
- Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years of inspection and/or production experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Computer literacy
- In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
- Reading and understanding of Blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
