Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Business Development:
o Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
o Develop and maintain relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
o Conduct site visits to evaluate tree service needs and provide professional recommendations.
2. Client Assessment and Estimates:
o Assess tree health, potential hazards, and customer needs during site visits.
o Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for tree removal, pruning, trimming, and other related services.
o Present estimates and proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
3. Closing Sales:
o Negotiate terms and close sales agreements with clients.
o Ensure all required documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
o Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and secure repeat business.
4. Collaboration and Coordination:
o Coordinate with the operations team to schedule and oversee the completion of tree services.
o Communicate client expectations and job specifications clearly to the operations team.
o Monitor job progress and address any issues that arise during project execution.
5. Customer Service:
o Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and project execution.
o Address client inquiries and resolve any complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
o Ensure customer satisfaction and foster positive long-term relationships.
6. Reporting and Record-Keeping:
o Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and job progress.
o Provide regular sales reports to the Sales Manager.
o Track and report on sales metrics and performance targets.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, arboriculture, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the tree service or landscaping industry.
- Strong knowledge of tree care practices, including pruning, removal, and health assessment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using sales software and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to conduct outdoor site visits in various weather conditions.
- Capacity to walk, stand, and climb for extended periods during site assessments.
Work Environment:
- Combination of office and outdoor work environments.
- Frequent travel to client sites and job locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $76,765.00 per year
