Job description:
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with expertise in Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ) and Global Trade Zones (GTZ). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP ABAP programming along with experience working in global trade compliance, particularly in FTZ and GTZ functionalities. The role will involve developing and customizing SAP solutions to support FTZ and GTZ processes, ensuring that systems meet business requirements for trade compliance, customs management, and import/export documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and customize ABAP code for SAP applications related to FTZ and GTZ functionalities, such as customs declaration, inventory management, and reporting.
- Implement and maintain solutions to ensure compliance with global trade regulations in the Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and Global Trade Zone (GTZ) processes.
- They need to have knowledge and experience on Foreign Trade Zone and Global Trade Zone.
- Work closely with business stakeholders and functional consultants to understand trade compliance requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Configure and integrate SAP systems (e.g., SAP GTS, SAP ECC, S/4HANA) for FTZ and GTZ operations, including handling customs declarations, export/import processing, and duty management.
- Design and develop reports, forms, and interfaces related to FTZ and GTZ transactions.
- Perform unit testing and ensure successful integration with other SAP modules like SAP MM (Materials Management), SAP SD (Sales and Distribution), and SAP WM (Warehouse Management).
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SAP FTZ and GTZ processes, ensuring seamless integration with customs systems and global trade systems.
- Ensure that SAP systems are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability in the context of global trade.
- Document customizations, processes, and technical solutions for future reference and audits.
- Provide support and training to end-users, particularly in relation to FTZ and GTZ functionality.
