- Facility located in California is in need of a Certified Tumor Registrar to support our Cancer Registry department. This is going to be a fully remote position. Qualified candidates must having the following,
- Oncology Data Specialist-Certified (ODS-C)
- Associate degree in Health/Biology or related field. A Bachelor’s degree in Health/Biology preferred.
- 5 Years of experience working in a hospital or centralized cancer registry.
- Knowledge of Federal Surveillance Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) regulations, the State of California Cancer Registry, Department of Health Services Cancer Surveillance Section Laws, the Regional regulatory agencies mandates and the American College of Surgeons, Commission on Cancer program accreditation rules and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of principals of cancer registry operation, tumor nomenclature and classification systems with strong medical background in cancer disease process.
- Knowledge of computerized database analysis, data processing and database applications, including CNExT.
- Ability to abstract cancer cases without supervision and maintain at least 98% accuracy rate.
