Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute the migration of applications from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) to OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Configure, deploy, and manage OCP and Kubernetes environments to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, integrating security practices (DevSecOps) throughout the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-native solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform differences, migration challenges, and containerization.
- Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10 years of IT experience with at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in OCP configuration management and Kubernetes deployments
- Minimum 5 years of PCF/TAS and OCP Development experience in complex application environments ( Java/.net)
- Proven track record of leading migration projects from PCF to OCP in complex, enterprise-level environments
- Strong technical proficiency in cloud technologies, containerization, and DevOps, including hands-on experience with OCP, Kubernetes, and cloud-native development
- In-depth knowledge of migration frameworks/tools such as Konveyor, Move2Kube, and OpenRewrite
- Extensive experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Helm charts
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the Financial Services Industry.
- Familiarity with security tools like Snyk, Dependabot, and SonarCloud for static and dynamic application security testing
- Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools like ArgoCD or Flux
