This strategic role is key to bringing local and global stories to life by engaging employees in the Americas region around our company strategy and keeping them informed through multiple internal communications channels. You will work cross-functionally and in liaison with global and local colleagues to take a proactive, strategic approach to planning comprehensive internal communications programs. This role requires a strong team player who will help support and champion internal communications programs and employee engagement efforts, such as creating our regional newsletter, intranet content, feature stories, and San Jose site communications on a range of business, technology, and community topics. You will also be involved with executive presentation content and supporting change communication. If you are passionate about communications and an experienced content developer, writer and strategic thinker, this is a great opportunity to bring your expertise and creativity to develop memorable internal communications for our regional channels! This role requires a minimum of three days a week on-site in the San Jose, CA office.

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:
Minimum of $102,800 salary per year
Maximum of $141,400 salary per year
In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Oversee the newsletter process for Infineon Americas, including planning and creating content, implementing continuous improvement ideas and managing distribution.
- Create regular regional feature stories and ensure representation of local highlights in the global feature story line-up and editorial discussions.
- Serve as the San Jose site communicator, including working closely with teams in San Jose and providing communications support for our local leadership based there.
- Develop and maintain (via our online planning tool) an integrated content strategy that leverages multiple channels and reinforces company/local priorities and messaging.
- Monitor and report on available metrics to improve content and align with related objectives.
- Be an integral member of the team by supporting other projects and programs as requested, ranging from presentations to events to social media integration and more.
- Be an advocate for two-way communication via our internal channels.
- Build rapport with key stakeholders in the region and global colleagues as a strategic communications partner.
- Collaborate closely with internal customers to jointly develop and implement strategic internal communications plans that include aligned messaging and objectives.
- Actively participate in ideation brainstorming sessions to identify optimal communication approaches and innovative ways to encourage employee cross-collaboration and engagement throughout the region.
- Be a strategic thinker with the ability to execute quickly to ensure that projects and content are developed and successfully completed on time.
- Be empowered to share your ideas for continuous improvement and internal communications innovation.
- Work with manager to set strategic objectives, improvements and budget goals for areas of ownership.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- 4 years of experience in communications, marketing communications and/or human resources communications within a large, global organization, developing internal communications for diverse employee populations.
- A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field.
- Excellent and effective skills in interviewing, newswriting in AP Style , storytelling, messaging, and detailed-oriented editing for a variety of formats/channels. (These skills are critical for this role; writing samples will be requested and a writing/editing exercise will be administered.)
- Experience with content management , requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a strategic, multi-channel editorial calendar.
- Experience working with executive leaders , including developing content, messaging and presentations.
- Affinity for digitalization and using digital tools.
- Ability to extract both quantitative and qualitative insights to improve content, make data-driven decisions and achieve strategic goals.
- Outstanding inter-personal skills and track record in working cross-functionally and collaboratively with experience in building a network and proactively sourcing content.
- Experience creating and delivering successful communications in English; a knack for knowing what will interest and engage employees and how to shape messaging for different audiences.
- Ability to create strategic communications plans and provide communications consulting.
- Knowledge of internal communications and newsletter best practices.
- Are passionate about internal communications.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to team up with all levels in a fast-paced, ever-changing global business environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow by being open to feedback and excited about continuous improvement.
- Some experience with graphic design (or experience working with related vendors and internal resources).
- Strong knowledge of the latest Microsoft Office applications , including PowerPoint.
