Principal Engineer Applications- System Power Solutions for AI & Data Centers

We’re looking for a power electronic system engineering expert to develop, optimize and promote system solutions for AI and Data centers. This individual will be one of the key members of our system application engineering team for power systems in computing, consumer and communications. He/she will work closely with Applications Marketing, Field applications engineers and sales managers closely to drive the revenue growth by providing high quality technical support. In addition, this individual will work with other application engineering teams to develop and optimize system power solutions for AI and Data centers. The position is highly visible with an excellent career path.

In your new role you will:

• Work with field application engineers and product line application engineers closely to provide detail technical support to customers to adopt infineon’s system power solutions in computing, networking, communication and AI applications.
• Develop and optimize DC/DC system power solutions for AI processors, CPU, GPU, ASICs etc. with detail circuit analysis, simulation and bench validation.
• Generate system solution proposals with block diagrams, reference schematics, BOM, simulation and test reports for customers.
• Support Customer design-in activities including schematic & layout reviews, board bring up, system level validation and debugging of technical problems.
• Develop simulation models and design assistance tools
• Write application notes for system power solutions and technical papers.
• Develop technical training documents and perform training/seminars for FAEs and customers.
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• M. S. in EE with minimum 8 years experiences or B.S. in EE with minimum 10 years experiences in semiconductor or power supply industry
• Deep knowledge of DC/DC power conversion topologies, power device characteristics, magnetics and control loop designs.
• Hands-on design experiences in the design of digital multiphase converters and intermediate bus converters.
• Experiences in using schematic entry, circuit simulation and PCB layout tools
• Good lab engineering skills in using test equipment collect data and generated detail test report.
• Experiences in system level modeling and simulation for power converters
• Experiences in close loop compensation design and error stack-up tolerance analysis
• Good customer communication and presentation skills
• Well-organized, self-driven, work effectively either independently or in a team environment

Wage range that the company expects to pay for a qualified candidate:

Minimum of $172,800 salary per year

Maximum of $237,600 salary per year

In addition, all employees will be eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
