Infinia ML has developed a versatile and standardized platform for processing written content in documents, such as medical records, insurance claims, correspondence and more leveraging the power of AI and machine learning.
The Role
Infinia ML is seeking an AI/ML Applied Scientist I with a desire to join a fast-growing company in the healthcare space. You will work with a dynamic team of scientists and engineers, collaborating on new machine learning algorithms, LLM workflows, and their application to automated document understanding and generation. We're searching for individuals who thrive on tackling real-world problems and relish the flexibility and adaptability of our work environment.
Typical activities will include:
- Developing machine learning algorithms and LLM workflows for document understanding and generation
- Curating, processing, characterizing, and managing business-critical data
- Collaborating with the product team on developing use-case-specific solutions
- Collaborating with the engineering team on solution integration and maintenance
Candidates must have the following characteristics:
- Experience in machine learning, data science, data engineering, and/or computational software development
- Ability to independently identify and design solutions to data-driven problems, evaluate and interpret results, and determine next steps
- Ability to develop and prototype solutions efficiently and accurately
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new technologies in a fast-moving field
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with diverse groups
- Must be a US citizen or a Green Card Holder
Preferred candidates will meet many of the following qualifications:
- Advanced degree in a relevant quantitative field (statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, etc.)
- 2 years development in Python, including standard machine learning libraries
- Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with software development best practices
- Experience with Linux
- This is a remote position, but local candidates are preferred
