Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Installer to join our team. We require a CT C5 certified electrical license. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various cabling systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. We are looking for someone that is interested in supporting computer networks and willing to receive training in many areas of networking, telecom, computer and interconnected systems.
Duties
- Install and maintain Ethernet cabling.
- Set up and configure Cisco routers and other networking equipment as required.
- Conduct field service tasks, addressing customer needs with professionalism and efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for cabling installations and repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues related to telephone systems and low voltage wiring.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
- Provide technical support for client requests and solve technical issues.
Skills
- CT C-5 electrical license is required. Must be able to pull permits for low voltage installations. Willing to develop a journeyman program at our company and grow into management.
- Proficient in cabling techniques, including Ethernet installation and terminations.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to handle various tools and equipment safely.
- Experience with network installation processes.
- Familiarity with field service operations, ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Ability to work with low voltage systems effectively.
- Competence in using hand tools for installation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Willing to be trained as a computer / technical support expert and expand into many areas of technology support.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 50 per week
