Job Description
Position: NC Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or NC Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) or Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). Must be credentialed with NC MEDICAID. 25 billable hours per week.
Reports To: CEO
Summary: As a member of the Clinical Team, the clinician will provide support and mental health services to patient population as requested or initiated by provider/patient. Clinician will provide community resources and coordinate referrals as indicated. Will be required to work in multiple locations in person and virtual.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Provide on demand integrated care consults to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced setting in collaboration with care team. Population can include pediatrics, adolescents, families, adults with IDD/MD/SUD diagnoses.
Services include screenings, assessments, support, brief interventions, and referrals as deemed appropriate.
- Provide psychoeducational information as appropriate for patients and/or family members or accompanying caregivers
- Provide traditional counseling services and support to patients and family members.
- Develop and maintain familiarity with related psychopharmacology
- Collaborate alongside behavioral health team to ensure holistic health care and support of medical team.
- Provide training to staff as needed
- Remain current and knowledgeable about local and regional resources for mental health and substance abuse treatment, developing collaborative relationships where possible
- Participate in outreach educational activities in the community as needed
- Maintain a regular schedule at assigned location in collaboration with treatment team
- Participate in quality improvement projects as assigned
- Participate in all meetings and trainings as assigned
- Complete Comprehensive Clinical Assessments as needed
Compliance and documentation Thoroughly, accurately, and promptly document all service rendered in the electronic medical record for every patient.
- Be knowledgeable of and in compliance with CARF, OSHA, HIPAA regulations for safety, infection control, equipment operation, confidentiality, and other applicable areas (e.g., patient identification and standard precautions).

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, payroll systems, and internet software.
Education/Experience:
- Master's degree (M.A. / M. S.) or equivalent and required trainings per State Board
- At least 2 years of experience working with Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, or Substance Use populations.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent
- Current LCSW or LCAS or LCMHC
- Current FA/CPR Compliance
- Experience in community setting preferred
