Job Title: Etch Tool Technician - Night Shift

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Albany, NY

Anticipated number of hours per week: 12hr shifts on a 4 x 3 rotating schedule (36hr week1 / 48hr week 2)

General Requirement: This position is for an etch tool technician who will help support fab operations on a night shift rotation. 12hr shifts on a 4/3 day rotation.

JOB Category (Skill Level): This candidate for this position should be a technician level 2/3 as him/her must be able to work independently for night shift coverage after a training period. 1-2 years of experience in a semiconductor fab environment with knowledge of material characterization techniques is preferred.

Background: Our Client has a need for a self-motivated, responsible etch technician. This technician will support etch fab operations including addressing lot faults, recovering tools failing quals, and executing action plans for troubleshooting. The job will require he individual to work an overnight shift to ensure issues are resolved in a timely basis and/or communicated between shifts.

Job Duties:

Job Duty 1 Ensure tool qualifications are ran and stable as indicated by tool qual plans.

Job Duty 2 Communicate and execute recovery plans for failing quals.

Job Duty 3 Work with fab Ops team to ensure they are trained on using etch tools.

Job Duty 4 Investigate and recover faulted lots where experience allows, or communicate to engineering team

Basic Skills, clearances and other elements required, in order of importance, and number of years experience, where applicable, in each skill:
1) B.Sc in an engineering/scientific field of study

2) Semiconductor fab experience, 0-2 years.

3) SiView and wSPC systems, 0-2 years.

4) Ability to maintain a high energy level for 12 hrs on night shift coverage is crucial.

5) Self-motivated and proactive in identifying problems and taking appropriate actions, 2 years.
