What does a successful Product Owner do at Fiserv?
A successful Product Owner at Fiserv is a key part of the Product Management team, directly collaborating with delivery teams and other business units to achieve business and operational objectives. By leading delivery teams and stakeholder groups, such as Professional Services, Commercialization, and Operations, you will help bring innovative cross-vertical solutions to market. Your main objective will be to ensure that what is developed offers exceptional value to Fiserv and our customers.
What you will do:
- Drive product ownership by understanding accounts payables and receivables, audit & regulatory compliance, event streams, REST APIs, and user experience.
- Ensure the backlog maintains the right balance between building the necessary features (required by customers or internal teams), ensuring quality, and being timely in the market.
- Influence delivery teams to significantly impact the overall Transfers Solutions Roadmaps.
- Ensure all market, technical, and operational requirements for releases are covered in the backlog.
- Make crucial prioritization decisions impacting the completion level and timing of work.
- Collaborate on day-to-day decisions on the scope and provide inputs for functional decisions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business; understand their roles, needs, and requirements throughout the project.
- Keep Product and technical leadership informed of key issues, providing information and recommendations to achieve extraordinary results.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree, and/or equivalent military experience (relevant work experience may substitute for degree requirement).
- 2 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in the financial services or software industry in an Agile environment.
- 2 years of experience writing epics and features with clear acceptance criteria.
- 2 years of experience writing and presenting Market Requirements Documents.
- 2 years of experience identifying dependencies and working with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies within one or multiple release cycles.
- 2 years of experience prioritizing and maintaining a product backlog using enterprise Agile software.
- 2 years of project management experience, including identifying and managing risks and issues.
- 2 years of experience successfully collaborating with distributed teams across the US and internationally.
What would be great to have:
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification.
- Experience working in a Scaled Agile environment.
