Position Overview
Infinite Computer Solutions is seeking a Technology Program Architect Director to lead a high-visibility, managed services engagement for one of the world’s largest reinsurance organizations. This St. Louis-based position will drive strategic enterprise architecture and program oversight. The role encompasses solution design, implementation leadership, and ongoing optimization, requiring deep technical expertise and proven delivery excellence. The ideal candidate must excel in stakeholder engagement, cross-functional leadership, and complex, large-scale program management within globally distributed teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture & Innovation
- Define, maintain, and communicate the architectural blueprint for data platforms, cloud solutions, and AI/ML initiatives within the reinsurance domain.
- Collaborate with CLIENT’s senior IT and business leaders to develop a multi-year technology roadmap that anticipates emerging trends (e.g., Generative AI, HPC analytics).
- Evaluate and recommend best-of-breed tech stacks for data warehousing, analytics, and next-generation digital transformation.
- Program & Portfolio Management
- Oversee multiple complex technology workstreams—from design through deployment—ensuring delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and budget.
- Implement robust governance frameworks (architecture reviews, risk assessments) to ensure compliance and quality.
- Manage resource allocation, onboarding, performance monitoring, and continuous delivery optimization across globally distributed teams, including offshore and nearshore models.
- Client Engagement & Stakeholder Alignment
- Serve as the strategic point of contact for CLIENT’s executive and technical stakeholders, forging partnerships that drive innovation and trust.
- Engage 30 hiring managers and various IT/business units, proactively aligning project milestones with the broader reinsurance objectives.
- Provide transparent status updates and articulate complex technical concepts in business language to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Technical Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead cross-functional teams (architects, data engineers, AI specialists, DevOps) to build modern, scalable solutions.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data-driven insights for process enhancement and knowledge management.
- Champion Agile or hybrid methodologies, ensuring consistent delivery, maintaining high-quality standards, and providing hands-on technical guidance as needed.
- Delivery Excellence & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to service levels, client expectations, and best practices in information security, privacy, and compliance.
- Develop and refine performance metrics, conducting regular assessments and driving corrective actions when necessary.
- Anticipate potential issues (technical or operational) and implement robust risk mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (MBA/Master’s preferred).
- 15 years of experience in program management or technology
