Title: EHS Site Safety Representative
Shift: - (7:00 am EST to 3:30 pm EST)
Role and Responsibilities:
- Implement the requirements of the client’s EHS Management Plan (EHSMP) and Environmental Health and Safety Plan (EHASP);
- Support the CM in the preparation of Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with BEDC’s Standards.
- Support the CM in conducting various training for CM staff including new employee orientations, visitor orientations and Emergency Action Plan training.
- Review all EHS related submittals by the Contractors, including, but not limited to, EHASPs, JHAs, monthly reports, asbestos/lead/mercury/PCB management and sampling plans, waste management plans etc.
- Facilitate weekly EHS meetings with the Contractor’s EHS Representative (EHSR), and other project management personnel as appropriate, to ascertain and discuss upcoming construction related activity EHS activities.
- Track and monitor the Contractor’s compliance with EHASP(s) and JHA(s);
- Track and monitor all site EHSRs’ performance including, but not limited to, reviewing EHSR’s daily reports and whether EHS issues are being adequately addressed.
- Review Contractor’s incident reports for adequacy, participate in meetings related to construction-related incidents, and verify all necessary Contractor corrective actions are implemented.
- Oversee Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) and drills for the site in coordination with DEP’s Operating Bureaus (if applicable);
- Submit EHS monthly status reports and metrics. Prepare monthly trending analysis of Contractor EHS performance.
- Review and manage all EHS Annual Reports (i.e. EPCRA, Hazardous Waste, Confined Space);
- Support the CM in preparing Contractor and EHS staff evaluations, conduct evaluation review meetings, and verify evaluations
Requirements:
- Ten years of relevant construction experience, five years of which were exclusively in construction EHS management and successful completion of the following courses:
- BEDC EHS Standards
- 30 Hour OSHA construction safety and health training
- For projects that require hazardous waste remediation or response, 40 Hour HAZWOPER training
- Resource Conservation Recovery Act/DOT hazardous waste/manifesting training
- Permit- required confined space.

New York City Equal Pay Disclaimer Infinite Consulting Corp carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s experience, education, and training. The estimated salary for this position is $50-$55 per hour.
