Position Description
Responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical/electronic devices or systems. Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to product or system designs. May provide leadership for a project team through a high level of knowledge in a specialized area. Reports to Senior Engineering Manager.
General Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for an entire program from beginning to end within discipline
- Provide cost and timeline estimates to Project/Program Manager for product development
- Work closely with a cross functional team to develop cost effective product or system designs
- Work on advanced, complex technical projects requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge
- Electronics Design including creating schematic, selecting components, creating Bill of Materials, PCB assembly layout and creating manufacturing data package
- Build proof of concept circuits and systems for design validation
- Present design for review to cross functional team and/or Integrated Project Team including the customer
- Write test plans and protocols for testing to validate compliance to specified requirements
- Perform analysis of products or systems to verify compliance to requirements
- Review specifications and ensure compliance to all requirements including standards
- Develop new techniques and improved business and engineering processes
- May provide tasking to engineers, drafters and technicians as needed to successfully complete projects
- Contract Review including those from Government Contractors
- Develop proposals for Engineering time based upon Government Contractor RFQ
- Maintain a clean, tidy and orderly work environment at all times
- Ensure compliance to Infinite Electronics’ OH&S and ESD policies
- Take appropriate action to ensure the health and safety of yourself and fellow employees at the workplace
- Accept responsibility for your own health and safety by working in a safe way and leading by example.
- Ensure that all products conform to relevant specifications and are manufactured according to Infinite Electronics work instructions or best practice.
- Utilize consumables/materials/tools in a manner that will minimize associated costs
- Recommend enhancements from time to time to the company’s actions in the achieving outstanding customer satisfaction
- Decision-making on issues/situations that arise during production and/or raise with the relevant parties
- Help to achieve manufacturing targets
- Assist in appropriate training of the Infinite Electronics staffs with the process you have developed
- Promote and contribute to a positive team environment

- Bachelor of Engineering Degree
- Typically requires 10 years of experience.
Physical Job Requirements
