As we continue to expand, we are looking to hire a skilled Part-Time Bookkeeper who will be responsible for supporting our business owner clients with accurate, timely bookkeeping services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Bookkeeper to manage the financial records for our business owner clients. This role will involve processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring that clients' financial records are up to date. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a flexible, client-facing role and is comfortable working part-time.
Responsibilities:
- Client Communication: Regularly communicate with clients to ensure their bookkeeping needs are being met, including responding to queries, providing insights, and offering proactive solutions to improve their financial processes.
- Manage Client Accounts: Handle day-to-day financial transactions for client businesses, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll support.
- Prepare Financial Statements: Generate accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Tax Preparation Support: Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure that tax documents and records are organized and compliant with applicable tax laws.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows and ensure clients’ financial records are accurate and efficient.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally with small business owners or in a client-facing role.
- Skills:Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices.
- Experience using accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Ability to communicate complex financial data in a clear, understandable manner.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Experience with tax preparation is a plus.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Certifications: Bookkeeping certifications such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor or Certified Bookkeeper (CB) are a plus but not required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.17 - $26.58 per hour
