About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with advanced expertise in VMware Cloud Director (VCD) and VMware Aria suite products to join our team in Radford, VA. This role is pivotal for automating virtual data center creation and optimizing a fully deployed VCF/VCD platform. The consultant will work closely with project architects to define, implement, and scale use cases across multiple environments, ensuring maximum efficiency.

What You Will Be Doing

• Automation and Coding: Develop and implement automation solutions for VCD functions using specialized coding techniques, leveraging VCD or ARIA automation tools to streamline processes.
• System Optimization and Scaling: Provide expert guidance to optimize and scale the capabilities of the VCF/VCD platform, ensuring its efficiency and scalability across three identical stacks.
• Collaboration and Planning: Collaborate closely with project architects, IT staff, and stakeholders to define and execute use cases, ensuring alignment with project goals and technical specifications.
• Communication and Reporting: Maintain daily communication with the project team, setting up touchpoints to review progress, resolve issues, and plan next steps.
• Travel Requirements: Regular travel to Radford, VA (at least one week per month) to ensure hands-on involvement in the project and close collaboration with the team.
  
  

What We Want To See:

• Proven Expertise: Extensive experience with VMware Cloud Director (VCD) and VMware Aria suite products in a production environment.
• Coding Skills: Strong proficiency in automation coding for VMware environments, with experience using VCD and ARIA tools.
• Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance is required for this position.
• Certifications: Must hold a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certificate and Security certification.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, capable of addressing complex automation challenges.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, necessary for coordinating with project teams and reporting on project milestones.
• Collaboration: Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that all project requirements are met.
