Role Overview

Sterling is seeking a highly skilled and security-cleared VxRail Residency Administrator to manage and optimize Dell VxRail infrastructure at a military base in FL. This role involves detailed system administration, proactive problem management, and dynamic change management, all aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring robust disaster recovery and system integrity.

What You Will Be Doing

• VxRail Residency Administration: Monitor, review, and manage Dell VxRail infrastructure according to the Statement of Work (SOW). Handle user requests, efficiently manage log files, generate operational reports, and engage in capacity planning.
• Problem Management: Isolate and troubleshoot incidents, coordinate service incidents, and manage service requests to maintain system stability. Conduct root cause analysis to prevent reoccurrence.
• Change Management: Provide assistance with software/firmware management, implement change requests to enhance system functionality, and document solutions, policies, and procedures with compliance managers and stakeholders.
• Continual Service Improvement: Recommend procedural changes for operational optimization, provide performance tuning recommendations, and share best practices to enhance system efficiency.
• Post Implementation Planning & Knowledge Sharing: Collaborate with the customer’s technical leadership to optimize the system continuously. Develop and provide Run Books for environment documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Change Evaluation and Recommendations: Review and improve IT processes and policies related to incident, capacity, performance, and change management.
  
  

What We Want To See:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications: VCP, Sec , and familiarity with HCI and VxRail products are required.
• Experience: Proven experience in managing and optimizing VxRail environments, with expertise in system administration and change management.
• Security Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to system management.
